Nintendo Wii: Smart Gaming
The new Wii is the fifth video game console from Nintendo. This game console is the successor to Nintendo GameCube and aims at a broad demographic of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation3. The game console will feature a wireless controller, Wii Remote, which can be used as a handheld pointing device and can detect acceleration in three dimensions. Another feature is WiiConnect24, which enables you to receive messages and updates over the Internet in a sleep mode. Nintendo first announced the Wii console input in a press conference at E3 2004 and later introduced the system at E3 2005th The console was known by the codename of “Revolution” until 27 April 2006. But later he moved to the Wii. It was the first home console Nintendo has marketed outside of Japan. Nintendo announced the launch of the console 14 September 2006. The company announced that most of the 2006 shipments would be assigned to America, while the 33 titles will be available in the 2006 launch window. Nintendo also announced the launch of the console in Korea in early 2008. Since its inception, Nintendo Wii saw a huge increase in monthly sales of the console to beat its competitors in the world. According to NPD Group, Nintendo Wii sold more units in North America for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 combined in the first half of 2007, which was a record in the games console in history. Nintendo also has a large market share in the Japanese market, where he currently leads in total sales, having outsold both consoles by factors of 2:1 to 6:1 nearly every week since its inception until November 2007. Sales of Nintendo Wii in Australia also made history by going on their competitors.
