The GI Diet: The Easy, Healthy Way to Permanent Weight Loss

Amazon. co. UK ReviewIt rather a relief to discover that the GI diet is not, after all, a thorough investigation of the secret U.S. Army canteens and field rations. This means GI glycemic index, the last in the idea of weight loss. It is encouraging that on the basis of their own efforts to lose weight, the introduction explains how Rick Gallop worked his way through the diet after diet. The only food diet (grapefruit, cabbage), dismissed as untenable the high-protein/low-carb unreliable and potentially dangerous (sorry, Dr. Atkins). None of them worked in the long term. Finally, he stumbled on the theories of nutritionist Dr David Jenkins, and the GI diet, new diet that just works, was born. Essentially measure the glycemic index, how fast carbohydrates down and let his blood sugar. The high GI foods release glucose quickly Ratings, energy is burned quickly and hunger quickly withdrawn. Chinese food syndrome, which is hungry after half an hour later, is the perfect example of this. Low qualification of slow-release foods, by contrast, provides long-term energy and tend to require the body to make more work for the conversion. Oats, beans, grains and similar products with high soluble fiber is the ideal forms of low GI foods. Fat is also differentiated by the familiar saturated (bad), unsaturated (good) and polyunsaturated (best). Of course there is more to say that it sounds pretty obvious that fundamental principle. Rick Gallop has built a feeding plan everything around a weight loss period of introduction followed by a less severe maintenance diet (in this, like Atkins Diet, but much less cumbersome and restrictive). There is a long list of foods is ranked by the GI, a selection of (rather basic) recipes and tips for exercise regimens – which includes some interesting and strengthening Pilates routines – so that everyone becomes more of a lifestyle plan. Most convincing evidence for its effectiveness, says gallop is working for him and all who have been convinced to stay on course. Judging by the enthusiastic collection of testimonies from satisfied users just fine, may well be worth trying. – Robin Davidson

  2. This book Diet is simply the best diet book I have read and tried, and I’ve tried a few. It is very easy to follow using a system of traffic lights. Foods to avoid red = yellow = eat sometimes, and Green = food to eat freely. No weighing or counting points, but Rick gives guidance on portion control, along with simple explinations the glycemic index, which is easy to understand. I have not longed sweet foods unhealthy time ago on this diet and the results speak for themselves. In 4 months I dropped from 17 obese. 5st barely 13th 5stone. I feel healthier, look incredible and friends and family say I look 10 years younger. I can not recommend this book enough. I think if I had been in the way I was going to an early death, so this book really saved my life. . . . Thanks Rick! Rating: 5 / 5

  3. Although the book does not come for some time, communication was excellent and the book finally came up with another form of apology. All around excellent customer service and I would not hesitate to buy other products from this seller. Rating: 5 / 5

  4. very good text for the course on nutrition, I do. simple and clear information makes it easy as a quick reference book Rating: 3 / 5

  5. What can I say? A diet that is actually very very painful and may feel that he is doing very well! I lost nearly three stones and have managed to hold out for over two years. I have been a yo-yo dieting all my life, but as he became more and found it harder to lose weight – this will work if you follow all these tips. Rating: 5 / 5

  6. This book explains the theory behind the GI diet, and the principles of healthy eating in general. Since GI preactice approach combines fine cigars with others such as low-calorie, low fat food as an indicator of red / yellow or green. You can eat very well what you like green, some yellow and avoid red. Simple but effective. Is it working? Yes I lost a stone (14 pounds) in the first month and the share has stabilized in predicting £ 1 per week. I have not felt hungry, in fact, sometimes I felt like it was too! The hardest part is the application of time away from home on business trips and while Gallop gives some tips of his still hard to find enough food. Note that this is a more strict diet than others “GI diet (such as GI diet Bikini) and do some low GI foods red light elements, others consider OK. My only criticism is that there are very few recipes. Warral-Anthony Thompson ’s book is much better for the GI eso.El book itself is well written, quite easy on the heart, technique and avoid being short enough to not be boring. Rating: 4 / 5
