Tiger Woods 09 (Review) (PS3, XBox, Wii)
The latest in the Tiger Woods range out now and available on all the ‘Next Generation’ consoles.
This time around there are lots of new features as well as including the Netplay which allows you to play against all your friends on all your favourite courses from the comfort of your own living room.
The game is easy to pick up and incorporates the analogue swing style that has become a big feature of the Tiger Woods games over the past few years.
You can now be coached by Tiger Woods’ very own coach, Hank Haney. He will guide you throughout your Tiger Woods 09 career and help you to improve your skills. He will point out where your swing is falling down and how to improve it.
Just like in real life you can fine tune your own clubs to combat any natural swing defects you may have such as a natural Fade or Draw can be rectified by adding weights to the club in real life. Now you can do this Tiger Woods 09.
Adding Skill Points to your abilities is only half the battle as all-new Dynamic Skills shift after every round, emphasizing consistency as much as improvement.

The Netplay feature now enables upto four players to play simultaneously. This means you can all play the same courses and holes at the same time without waiting for the other player to play their shot. This makes the Netplay a lot quicker than it has been in previous versions.

The graphics are amazing and all the courses really come to life on the PS3 version. The sounds make you feel like you are really out on the course and the only thing that is missing is being able to feel the wind on your face and the rain in your hair. (Well thats what it is like at my local course)
Overall the game is a step up in class from last years version and hopefully the series will just get better and better
Graphics – 9/10
Sound – 9/10
Gameplay – 9/10
Game Lifetime – 8/10
Overall – 9/10
This game is brilliant to play on your own or as part of a multiplayer game. The way you can play anybody across the world makes it even more interesting. Enjoy and if you have not already got the game then why not get it from Amazon below.

I agree that this version is a step up on last years. I found the netplay a bit sluggish on my internet connection.

I never did seem to take to any golfing games, it just seemed to annoy me when I would get close to the hole and can’t putt the damn thing lol, Mario Golf on the other hand, legend of a game!
