How to get a Playstation 3, Absolutely Free
About 6 months ago I came across a site that offered to give me a Free PS3 if I could get my friends to sign up to some offers. You have all seen the websites and like me you have probably thought SCAM!!!
I am one of the most sceptical people going yet for some reason this advert seemed to grab my attention. I clicked on it and decided to read through how it worked.
It sounded a little too good to be true but because I had read it carefully I saw a way that I could try it without risking any money at all.
Firstly I noticed that there were offers that were COMPLETELY free and posed no risk whatsoever. They were from large well established companies and so I had no problem giving them my details.
There seemed to be lots of offers available for me to complete and so I chose to do the LoveFilm DVD Rental offer. I worked it out that I could simply take up the free trial and rent a couple of DVDs and then if I didn’t like the service I could terminate the free trial before anything was charged to my cards.
There were a couple of free offers in the UK. There was LoveFilm and HSBC. The HSBC offer requires you to sign up for a new bank account so doesn’t even require any card details.
The offers are available in the USA/Canada also and they have free offers such as Credit Check Total where you have to sign up for a free trial and receive 3 free credit reports. What could be simpler.
Anyway, back to the story. I signed up and completed my offer which went to pending straight away and I looked around and found that it will go ‘Green’ once the advertisers (LoveFilm) confirm I completed the offer successfully. Going green is the term for completing an offer.
I started to ask a few friends to sign up for me and some of them were quite happy to help out to satisfy their curiosity about the whole Freebie thing. I decided to start small and choose a gift that wouldn’t require many friends to be referred. I did this simply because I wanted to prove this was real.
When I had got 5 of my friends to sign up and go ‘green’ for me I decided to ask for a Nintendo DS Lite. This was delivered to me within 4 days of my friends going ‘green’ and my order being placed.
Then I reset my account and started building up more referrals. I asked workmates, friends and family and blokes in the pub. I had my proof that it was real in the DS Lite and people really believed me when I showed them this proof.
I worked my way through everybody I could and ended up with 2 more gifts. An iPod Touch 8GB and a Navman S70 3D Satellite Navigation System.
I was really on a roll and created a website to explain to people how all of this worked and started getting referrals this way. I also produced some business cards with links on them to my website to promote it and slowly started to get more referrals.
I then received a few more items. In the build up to xmas I received :-
£204 Bank Transfer paid directly into my bank
320GB Western Digital Portable Hard Drive
Singstar Games
A 7 in 1 Trike from Mothercare for my 1 year old’s Christmas Present
Then came the BIG ONE. The Free PS3. I had decided to go for a big gift for myself for Xmas and decided it was about time I replaced my broken PS3 with a new one. I collected my referrals and finally received my Free PS3 on the 15th of December.
So there I was, I had received my Free PS3 and proven that this can be done by anyone including myself. I am currently trying to build up referrals for a new laptop as my main laptop decided to die on me and so I am stuck with using my netbook for all my blogging and studying.
I have found that the secret to making this work is to use the Free Offers such as Lovefilm, HSBC, Credit Check Total and others. This means there is no financial outlay for yourself and therefore you can show your friends that it costs nothing.
Also you may want to start by getting a small gift like I did to prove to people that it does actually work. Then just build those referrals and keep getting gifts.

Damn! I thought were just scams to get you on a retailers mailing list. I have to admit that a number of my friends have sent me emails offering freebies but never heard of them actually getting anything in return for the referrals. Ah well, hats off to you

I was exactly the same and thought they were all scams. It wasn’t until I read about them and realised there is a way to do it that costs absolutely nothing that I realised I had nothing to lose.

Nice work! I bet most of us now got a couple grand in some nice stuff.
Freebies
There is no such thing as a free PS3. You really can get free stuff if you know where to look but even then you are only talking about small, cheap, sample sizes of products dont expensive electronics.

I must disagree with you. I have received lots of FREE stuff from this method. It can be time consuming and it does take some effort to get your friends to sign up but the offers can be completed completely Free of charge and therefore means you can get the gifts even a PS3 absolutely free
Freebies
Never expect to get any big ticket items truly free. A PS3 costs a lot of money and someone has to pay it, because Sony doesn’t give them away. So the only way any company is going give you a PS3 is if you have done something to make them enough money to cover the cost of the PS3 and then some.
